Xplore the heart of JAPAN : KYOTO

Sampai Kyoto dah gelap. Masa tunggu bus kat Kyoto St layan Aqua Fantasy.

Naik bus ke Hostel. 45 min. Bas berhenti betul2 di simpang nak masuk Hostel. Bus fare dalam 220Y. City Bus 26 Platform D3.

Selesaikan urusan check in. Kagum dengan persekitaran hostel. Menarik. Kali ni stay kat KYOTO UTANO YOUTH HOSTEL. Masuk aje biliknya...puas hati sungguh. Bilik dekat dengan bilik mandi. Senang skit. Boleh la basuh dan dry baju. Kitchen and dining besar. Jangan lupa sewa basikal untuk rounding Kyoto 500Y.

Ikutkan Kyoto ni terbahagi kepada beberapa daerah/bahagian. Central, Eastern, Southern, Northern dan Western. Kami pilih ke Arashiyama (Western) dan Higashiyama (Eastern).

* Arashiyama

Arashiyama becomes most attractive (and busy) around early April and the second half of November when the cherry blossom and fall color seasons usually peak. During the summer months, traditional cormorant fishing is practiced on the Hozu River for tourists to watch. Another good time to visit is during December's Hanatoro illumination, when lanterns line the streets and bamboo groves.

Rata-rata penduduk sekitar ni pakai kereta mewah belaka.

Rasa damai kat Kyoto ni.

Kalau musim autum datang ke sini pun menarik. Bukit tu daun-daunnya warna warni.

Salah satu attraction - The Togetsukyo Bridge (lit. "Moon Crossing Bridge") is Arashiyama's most iconic landmark. It was originally built during the Heian Period (794-1185) and most recently reconstructed in the 1930s. The bridge looks particularly attractive in combination with the forested mountainside in the background. A riverside park with dozens of cherry trees is located just adjacent to the bridge.

Kedai cenderamata banyak sini. Mula la rambang mata.

Kayuh la sejauh mana yang larat. Sampai sini pulak Saga-Toriimoto Preserved Street - Much of this street along the way to the Adashino Nenbutsuji Temple has been preserved in the style of the Meiji Period (1868-1912). Many of the buildings are traditional machiya ("town houses") that served as private residences but have since been converted into shops and restaurants.

Kayuh-kayuh lagi sampai sini pulak...Bamboo groves - The walking paths that cut through the bamboo groves make for a nice walk or bicycle ride. The groves are particularly attractive when there is a light wind and the tall bamboo stalks sway gently back and forth. The bamboo has been used to manufacture various products, such as baskets, cups, boxes and mats at local workshops for centuries.

Kagum tengok abam2 sado tarik beca. Tak sempat nak bertanya harga.

Yang berkimono bersepah-sepah kat sini. Nasib baik la dulu penah merasa pakai kimono so tkde la nak dengki dgn awek2 comel kat sini.

Selesai agak2 area sini  ke Higashiyama pulak.

* Higashiyama

The Higashiyama District along the lower slopes of Kyoto's eastern mountains is one of the city's best preserved historic districts. It is a great place to experience traditional old Kyoto, especially between Kiyomizudera and Yasaka Shrine, where the narrow lanes, wooden buildings and traditional merchant shops invoke a feeling of the old capital city.

We must go here. Nak fefeeling zaman Oshin -

Nah ni la Oshin yang comel tu..

Pagoda ni salah satu landmark di sini - Yasaka Pagoda, the last remnant of Hokanji Temple, is one of the most visible and recognizable landmarks in the Higashiyama District. Visitors may climb up the inside of the five story pagoda, which is a rare opportunity as most pagoda can only be viewed from the outside.

Jalan-jalan kawasan ni boleh settle dalam masa 1/2 jam je. Tapi kalau nak relax chill makan ais krim, cuci mata tengok awek pakai kimono nak dekat sejam la. Tak jumpa Oshin dapat jumpa sedara mara dia pun jadilah. - The streets in Higashiyama are lined by small shops, cafes and restaurants which have been catering to tourists and pilgrims for centuries. These businesses retain their traditional design, although many have been renovated through the years, and they continue to serve customers today, selling local specialties such as Kiyomizu-yaki pottery, sweets, pickles, crafts and other souvenirs.

Balik ke hostel sebelum malam menjelma. Takut nak kayuh basikal waktu malam gelap. Puas hati dapat kayuh basikal di sebahagian Kyoto ni. Dapat sampai tempat yang kita suka makanya tido dengan kepuasan lah.
